Barbara BARBARA BERGER TARTELL

Barbara graduated from Brandeis University with a Bachelor of Arts in Politics. A few years later, she received a Masters in Business Administration with a concentration in marketing/finance from Columbia University. Barbara worked for 13 years at Goldman Sachs in the Fixed Income Division as a salesperson and manager.

While raising her family, Barbara became involved in various community activities, including serving on the local elementary school PTA Board and the Scarsdale School Board Nominating Committee. Barbara currently serves as Vice-Chair of the Holocaust and Human Rights Education Center, serving as Co-Chair of the Holocaust Remembrance Committee as well as participating on the Finance and Education Committees. She also volunteers weekly in the College Counseling Office of Gorton High School in Yonkers, New York under the auspices of Yonkers Partners in Education(YPIE). Learn more about YPIE…

For the past ten years, Barbara has informally helped friends, neighbors and family pursue their college dreams. With the encouragement of the people she has helped, Barbara decided to turn her passion into a profession and launched Higher Edgeucation.
